Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how The Rockets Consulting DMCC, trading as 5th Consulting, uses cookies and similar technologies on 5th.ae. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include local storage, pixels, tags and SDKs that perform comparable functions. Cookies may be first-party(set by us) or third-party (set by a service provider on our behalf), and session (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (retained for a defined period).
2. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary: required for the website to function (routing, security, form submission, load balancing). These cannot be disabled through our consent controls and are used without consent.
- Preferences: remember choices such as language, region or display preferences to personalise your experience.
- Analytics / performance: help us understand how visitors interact with the site so we can improve content and usability (aggregated metrics; IP addresses truncated where feasible).
- Marketing: used, only where you consent, to measure campaign effectiveness and, if enabled, to display relevant content on third-party platforms.
3. Third-party providers
Depending on your consent, we may use services such as analytics, video hosting (e.g. YouTube), maps or chat/messaging widgets. These providers may act as independent controllers and set their own cookies, governed by their privacy policies. We conduct due diligence and, where required, enter into data-processing or transfer agreements.
4. Legal basis & consent
We rely on your consent for non-essential cookies (analytics, marketing), in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL), the EU ePrivacy Directive as implemented in EU/EEA Member States, and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Strictly necessary cookies are placed on the basis of our legitimate interest to operate a secure website. You can withdraw consent at any time (see below) without affecting prior lawful processing.
5. Managing your preferences
Where a consent banner or preferences centre is displayed, you can accept, reject or customise categories of cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — including deleting existing cookies and blocking future ones. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the website. Most browsers also support "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) signals, which we honour where legally required.
6. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies typically expire between a few days and up to 24 months, depending on their purpose. Details are available in the consent preferences centre, where applicable.
7. International transfers
Some cookie providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied — see the "International Transfers" section of our Privacy Policy.
8. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
